FEMALE HAIR TRANSPLANT REQUIRES STRONG, VOLUMINOUS HAIR
Hair loss is a major problem in the lives of thousands of women, whether due to a systemic disease such as anemia, hormonal treatments or diseases such as female pattern baldness. One of the most effective solutions for those with particularly busy conditions is a hair implant or hair transplant.
HAIR TRANSPLANT
It was in 1996 that the hair transplant technique in women originated in Japan in 1883 gained a new resource to guarantee better results: the follicular unit. This procedure is used in 2 types of surgery: FUT (Follicular Unit Transplantation) and FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction).
FOLLICULAR UNIT TRANSPLANT
In this female hair transplant technique, a strip of scalp is removed and split into follicles, which are then applied with a thread. This type of procedure leaves a small, linear and imperceptible scar.
FOLLICULAR UNIT EXTRACTION
In this case, the implanted wires are removed one by one from the donor area using a punch-type scalpel. The scar is punctate and the result of the scar is less noticeable than the linear scar.
The final result is not immediate. After surgery, the strands usually fall off and grow back after a few months. The good news is that since the hair strands do not have baldness genes, they will not fall out once they have fully grown.
However, the technique has some requirements. For example, thicker and stronger threads give the best results. This is because the coverage of the bald area includes three factors: follicle density, average number of hair per follicle, and finally the thickness of the hair. The purpose of the surgery is not only to do more hair transplantation, but also to provide complete protection to the bald area.
POSTOPERATIVE
The procedure is performed under local anesthesia and there is no need for a hospital stay. The woman returns home immediately after the hair transplant is completed. Hair washing should be done one or two days after the session according to the medical instructions. It is recommended to use two pillows for sleeping, as it helps reduce swelling of the area. In addition, water compresses help the healing and natural appearance of the implant area.
